Winter/Spring Sports
Cross Country '07 and '08
Brook Haven school has a long history with Cross Country running
team. This year is no exception. Over two dozen 6th, 7th, and 8th grade boys and girls
run Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7 AM to 8 AM. Cross Country began Tuesday September 11, 2007.
Spring season begins in March. Students need permission slips and a passing grade in each
of their classes to join. The Cross Country team will be competing in three meets at Ragle Park.
The team is coached by Mr. Garrison, he can be reached at

Sports Participation
In the 6th grade we have a "no-cut" philosophy and do our best to assure that everyone gets to participate. The 7th and 8th grade programs may or may not include tryouts and a limited numbers of spaces on teams.
All players are required to sign a Sports Participation Contract before they will be assigned to a team.
In order to participate in after-school sports, a student must
maintain a C average with no F grades, as well as having an acceptable
behavior record. Students must be responsible and attend all
practices and games unless arrangements are made in advance with
individual coaches. Students may be required to "try-out" for a
team and must attend all assessment clinics in order to be considered
for a team. God sportsmanship and a positive attitude are
critical to a team's success and it is expected that all players will
behave in a way that reflects well upon their school and
community.
Parent Support
Parents of team members will be asked to assist with game
transportation and supervision. Each sport includes a
participation donation to help defer the costs of referees, uniforms
and other incidental costs. NOTE: The overall cost of the
after school sports program is funded by the Sebastopol Educational
Foundation.
