Back to School Night
BHS's Back to School Night will be held on Wednesday, September 15th 6:00 to 8:00. Details to follow.
Coaches
After school sports will be supported by volunteer coaches this year. Please contact the school office if you are interested in helping out with coaching football, basketball, volleyball, or cross country teams.
Yearbooks
BHS students took home a splendid 90 page all color yearbook last year. Plans for this year's ALL COLOR yearbook are already underway. A flyer will be coming home in the first day packets with order information.
After school Tutorial
BHS is planning a Tuesday/Thursday after school tutorial for the 2010-2011 school year. Students who register for the program will have access to homework help from 3:15 to 4:30 on those afternoons. Sessions will be held to a 1:10 teacher/student ratio.
Sixth Grade Field trip
BHS and REACH sixth graders participate in the Adopt-A-Cop program with the Sebastopol Police Department. This is a fun and educational program focused on building strong community and helping kids know and feel safe in their town. As part of this program the entire 6th grade class (including REACH) will be traveling by bus to the Sonoma County Courthouse on Cleveland Ave to visit the courtroom of BHS alumnus and Superior Court Judge Jim Bertoli. The students will observe court in session for awhile. Mid morning, Judge Bertoli will empty the courtroom and have a chance to address the kids and answer questions. The buses will leave BHS at 7:30 on that morning as students must be in the courtroom by 8:30 and they must go through security. They will return to school by lunchtime. Permission slips will come home after Labor Day.
