Dear SUSD Families,
As November draws to a close, we find ourselves reflecting on all there is to celebrate and appreciate. This month has been filled with moments that remind us why we love this work and this community.
We're grateful for the dedication of our teachers and staff who continue to create engaging learning experiences every single day. From fall science projects and exploring the changing seasons in the garden to student artwork and poetry lining the halls, our campuses are vibrant learning spaces. Whether it's our drama production of The Sword in the Stone, the Ruby Bridges March promoting civic activism, or the Turkey Trot bringing families together, our schools are always full of meaningful activities that connect students to their learning and community.
We've especially valued the family conferences this month, where the power of partnership was on full display. When families and educators come together to share insights, celebrate progress, and problem-solve as a team, our students benefit in countless ways.
We're also thankful for our students, who have shown us what community looks like through acts of kindness, peer support, and enthusiasm for learning. Whether it was the food drive organized by our middle schoolers, the Thanksgiving celebrations in our younger grades, or the everyday moments of students helping one another, we've witnessed the best of Park Side and Brook Haven.
As we head into December and the holiday season, we carry forward this spirit of gratitude, collaboration, and community. Thank you for being our partners in this important work.
In Partnership,
Sara Gramm, Superintendent/BH Principal
Molly Bulwa, PS Principal
Rachel Lasek, District Vice Principal
