About Mrs. Castaneda

Sarah Castaneda teaches sixth grade English and History at Brook Haven School. She strives to instill a love of reading and learning into her students and to empower them to become forces of positive change in the world. This is her third year teaching at Brook Haven, and she is incredibly happy to be here!

 

Sarah Castaneda grew up in Santa Rosa. She received her BA in Liberal Studies and her teaching credential from CSU Chico before moving to San Jose. Sarah taught in San Jose for thirteen years before coming back to Santa Rosa. She is thrilled to be back in Sonoma County.

 

When not at school, Sarah loves to read, garden, roller skate, and play with her two children, Dexter (age 8) and Matilda (age 6).
